bad BAS!
bad BAS!
@ full throttle i kept on blowing the 30a mini fuse that is on the input power wire to the KB Boost-a-spark. first thing i did was turn the voltage level from 30 to 15. and it still blew. then i checked all the wiring and according the fsm and me verifing w/ an ohmmeter i have the correct and only common power wire to the coils, which is located by the fuse block drivers side. there are 2 connectors one is a black weather pack connector which has two fat red wires going to it. one is for the coils and the other is for the injectors. so then i test the BAS by hooking it up to a battery, shorting the boost switch leads together and turning it all the way up to 50. the fuse didnt blow though, but i wasnt getting 27v output like i should. so this is my theory, somehow a diode was shorted after the step up transformer and it fed back and blew the fuse. after doing that a couple of times it just quit.
foot notes:
blowing BAS fuse @ full throttle only
bad BAS
sending it back to KB for a new one
