How much horse power will the z32 maf surport? I was wondering because going to check the air flow % on my safc to guess how much power im putting down!

The maf voltage is not linear so it's not as easy as just saying "ok if 5.0V = 500hp then 3.0V must equal 300hp."

530whp according to Enthalpy (one of the premier 240SX/SR20 tuners), of course he didn't specify what type of dyno that was on, etc. Don't worry, you won't max it out A dyno would probably be the best way to figure out how much HP you are putting down hehe.

i don't know if this will help you but when i talked to jwt about the program of my ecu wich was 370s, z32, and turbo/supercharger program the guy told me that i wont get more than 420hp i don't know why he told me that but thats what he told me.

420 is the max flywheel horsepower your 370cc injectors supply (at 100% duty cycle)

Yep - I'm damned close to maxing the injectors out myself - but at the moment reading 12.1:1 A/F with the Z32 MAF at 7000RPM.

well at 10psi i hit like 48.4% of air flowof the z32 on the safc!

I see mid 60% IIRC at 8-9 psi and that is about 340-350 whp.

Keep in mind though that the 530whp is really sortof a hypothetical number. The maf can flow a certain CFM of air, X amount of air, but how much power you make with X amount of air depends largely on the state of tune of your car. You can be hyopthetically flowing 100% of the air volume that the MAF can read, but not be making the maximum amount of POWER your car COULD make with that amount of air, if your tune is not optimal.

I'm seeing 85% at 13PSI - so that about fits inline. (I know - it's not really linear)
Probably making the same amount of power as you also - since I'm S/C and you are Turbo.

Does anyone know if the S-AFC just calculates your airflow as a percentage of the max value of the max MAF voltage? I ask because the maf voltage is obviously a raw voltage output whereas the S-AFC2 gives a reading as % air flow, so obviously there is some conversion going on there. Does 50% airflow on the S-AFC equate to 50% of the max MAF voltage?

I htink it calculates it as a percentage of 5.00v.

I believe Apex'i has numerous different maf's programmed into it. If I understand it correctly, it will allow you to run a maf from one car on another car and it will do the conversion automatically. For instance, I believe the third gen maf is "hotwire 6" while the Z32 maf is "hotwire 4". you make the input "hotwire 4" and the output "hotwire 6" to use the Z32 maf on a 3rd gen Maxima. I'm pretty sure that's how it goes.

Ah - I see.

With the Z32 MAF however on a 4th Gen it's 04in 04out.
