spec stage III reveiw
Well this is my second clutch in the max since its been turboed! the spec stage three cost me with org discount $312 shipped. Well Im guessing my horse power is around 350 to the wheels and my torque is a little higher! It engauges pretty rough. But Is not that bad for everyday driving. It holds great have not felt it slip yet!
I completely broke the stock clutch and pressure plat at 6psi. the centerforce that I paid like $339 for (dual friction) slip bad at the track and some on the street at 11psi. Could not make more than one pass and hour on it. I did dyno on the centerforce and made 351 lb of torque.
The spec will stand back to back runs at the track and will not slip. So im very please so far with it...........but it does have a lot of chatter.

Spec 3 is a quality clutch, I have had mine in for about 6 months. It held 125 shot of nitrous well both on the street and track, I'm hoping it will now hold 12 psi. I agree that there is a some chatter especially going from 3rd in to 2nd from a roll. Initially take offs can be reduced with a blimp of the throttle and it takes some getting use to. None of my friends can drive my car decent now cuz they aren't use to the clutch which is good lol.
How does your clutch peadl feel? Mines kinda little bit stiffer than stock but not much different.

Didn't you only trap 104 or something like that on your last visit to the track?
Edit: yeah just looked it up. You're not anywhere near 350 to the wheels if you only trap 104-105, unless you let off at like 1000 feet. 350 to the wheels would have you trapping at least 110mph possibly up to 115mph.

I only have 300 miles on mine so far, so I havent had the chance to abuse it yet. However, here are my inital impressions.
The pedal pressure on mine feels much lighter than stock, so maybe you need to rebleed your line or get a SS line. Engagement is somewhat harsh, but I can drive mine with no chatter at all with some concentration. If you know how to double clutch (really just rev match) you can upshift and downshift with no chatter. Dont rev match, and yes it chatters hard. Just pretend you have no syncros.
Overall, I am very very happy with this clutch so far. I honestly didnt expect this aggressive of a clutch to be so streetable. However, as I stated before this clutch does require some skill/getting used to. I garantee my girlfriend would never be able to drive the car without all kinds of horrible chatter, never. My mother on the other hand, who knows how to double clutch Im sure would have no problem.

my car weights like 3300 without me in it. oH say im about 200lb
Spec Stage 3 clutches suck!!!! I have ripped 2 of them apart!! both clutches held fine on the street. I loved the feeling of the pedal, however when I put slicks on the car they went to pot real quick!! I even bought the stage III i which is supposed to hold 600lbs of torque!
