To SC a VQ35 you either have to convert to VQ30 timing chain setup (lose your VVT) and use a Vortech/Stillen kit or go completely custom.

yah, there is something physically stopping it from being mounted on the timing chain case...and if this is possible (to sc a 5.5 gen im buying one the next day)

Better off custom making a T/C for it. With the VTC, it would be easier that a SC. Not to say it's easy by any stretch...

hmmm lets see stillen makes a s/c for the 350z so if you were nutts enough you could do a huge project with one. that would be a ton of custom work. a custom turbo kit could be fabbed up just as easy.

The 350Z ones are either roots type or they sit like inside where the grill would be so I doubt they would work on a FWD platform without MAJOR modifications.

The VQ30 one would fit with timing chain cover conversion and different piping. Your fuel system would also need modification since you have returnless.

Both Vortech and Procharger make centrifugal blower kits for the 350Z, but like SPiG says, they are probably not easily modified to fit in the Maxima engine bay.

no, in other words youre better off puttin the money for it in a savings acount, earning interest on it for the next 5 years until they come out with an sc for a 5.5

Sorry dude, but you'll be better off waiting for Jenna Jamison to give you a call. Seeing as how Stillen has discontinued their charger for the 4th and 5th gen when people can finally afford to buy it and the car, I don't dee a peice being designed for the 5.5 or the 6th gen. A custom turbo is the only thing I see in your future. Its more powerful anyway.
Merry Christmas

That is what my laughing fanically at "letting someone do it for you" attitude was supposed to mean. In the Maxima community we have learned long ago that if you want something innovative done, you should get to work on it.

If you really want a SC then you either have to VQ30 timing chain or custom. I really doubt there is any way around it. The VQ35 has tons of potential NA as it is, so if you think a timing chain conversion is too much work then boost on a Maxima is probably not for you. Boost is great, but it is not for someone who doesn't want to get their hands dirty and research a little, at least on these cars.

from what ive read your better off just spraying the **** out of it, or buying a 4th gen a boosting it for like the cost of a pack of soft batch cookies.
