Compression check
Been turbo for about a year now so I figured it was long past due on a compression check. This was a salvage motor I got about two years ago with 79K miles. Has about 105K or so on it now. I have had detonation here and there and have certianly pushed the motor to it's limit on stock timing.
I did all cylinders twice
Cylinder 1: 195 & 195
Cylinder 2: 209 & 210
Cylinder 3: 198 & 200
Cylinder 4: 205 & 205
Cylinder 5: 210 & 210
Cylinder 6: 200 & 202
Good results. Nothing to worry about. A little high but I am pleased

What method did you use?
Throttle held open?
Just one plug removed or all?
Cold or warm?
Just wondering, since I need to check mine and I've tried on a different car with varying results depending on above.

Fairly warm. Test was done after car sat for 1/2 hour but it was driven for an hour before that
Good numbers mikeD, definately nothing to be worried about.
I believe 180 is the average number. I believe a lot of carbon deposite can give a higher number reading, dont have an explanation as to how yet. . .
