Just because when you go to upgrading things, you can full adjust this unit with a set screw on top. With the Vortech unit you need to upgrade disks and it becomes a pain.

Both are good though. The Vortech Units are found on Ebay alot for $50-$60

yeah but will it be harder for a SC newbie like me. I allready decided to recirculate the BOV. the SC plate is out being powdercoated. going to stick with a V2 S-trim instead of trying to go T-trim. As soon as I got the plate a got a renewed spirit. Just hope I can make the auto last through it with some helping parts.

for the charge pipe, wouldnt it be easier to just have an exhaust shop bend a 3" pipe for you and cut an opening for the BOV??? i am guessing the hardest part would be the last bend to attach to the blower.

it might look ugly at first but thats not a problem, a plish and coat would make it look nice.

Most exhaust shops pressure bend their pipes. You'll lose a lot of internal piping diameter going that route. For the BOV, you need to weld on a flange, not just cut a hole in the pipe...

It looks like it is a bit too short (not quite 4 feet).
did anyone try this item? its -3an and not -4an. i understand both would do. but aside from being short, are both ends the correct measurement to fit the blower and T adapter? can anyone confirm this item from experience?

Waaaay to short... by about a foot. Buy their block fitting and then just pick up the rest outta a Summit catalog.

Dumb Question... But I was searching in ebay for "Vortech" and I looked in the price range you suggested and didn't find a V1 or V2? Is that price for used or new? As going to their website the price of a supercharger is 2200 or so.

Am I a confused noob or what?

Its always a good idea to find a seperate source of Vaccum for the Boost gauge. I have everything T'd at one place for everything BUT the boost gauge. I have the boost gauge coming off a seperate vac source past the manifold.

The size of the pulley is usually written in small white font on itself, assuming it's a genuine Vortech pulley.

As for the max amount of boost, there are too many variables to give a definitive answer.

OK WELL THE MAX I WOULD WANT TO RUN IS ABOUT 10LBS. WHAT IS THE PART NUMBER FOR THAT PULLEY, CAUSE WHEN I LOOK ON VORTECH WEBSITE. THEY DONT GIVE A SPECIFIC BOOST AMOUNT

ALSO NOT SURE IF ITS A DUMB QUESTION, BUT THE VORTECH WEBSITE WQS CONFUSING ME.

WHEN U GO UP IN DIAMETER BOOST PSI GOES UP ...OR

WHEN U GO DOWN IN DIAMETER BOOST PSI GOES UP ??????

As you go down in pulley size, boost goes up.
