I think his point was that for 99% of FI maxma owners timing control and injector controll is about all one would ever need. Features like the two stage rev limiter would not be used by most.
One thing I always didn't like about Emanage blue was that fuel control was still somewhat MAF voltage based and not completely controlled through IPW.
The rev limit controls, ability to advance timing (you could still do this in non boost), and the many other functions make it seem more appealing. For the everyday 6-10psi person E-Blue is probably fine especially since they can be had for dirt cheap now.
