5th GEN MAF upgrades.
I was thinking of also trying to build one myself out of a 3.5 inch piece of aluminum tubing. What will be the down fall to this?I mean will it make a differenc to put my element into a bigger housing?
You lose resolution, ie the element won't be as accurate, but it won't be too bad. You'll also have to add fuel throughout to compensate.
I think you should reduce your injector scaling anyways, since you are pretty lean before you get into boost around 50% throttle and I'm pretty sure open-loop.

That's the problem with sending em2 files via email. The config of the Support Tool even version will mess it up.
He needs to take a working EM2 and just copy the maps. I don't think cut-n-paste works, so it is a PITA.

Since the VQ30 and VG30 both are NS-2 for the MAF, how are we suppose to upgrade to a Z32 MAF?
I also started thinking, if 5th gens have the similar element to the 350z, shouldnt they use the VQ35 maf setting/NS-1?
I got Jeremy to try this but his car turns off inbetween shifts
