Move MAF before the turbo.....

Supposedly, the 350Z uses the same sensor, I think, but theirs measures higher. Might be worth a try.

I am definitely thinking it would be better before the turbo.

It is...and it will help, if not eliminate, your bogging/surging between shifts.

Still looking into what the 350Z MAF can handle, but any 0-5V hotwire MAF can be used with the EU.

I was thinking of also trying to build one myself out of a 3.5 inch piece of aluminum tubing. What will be the down fall to this?I mean will it make a differenc to put my element into a bigger housing?

You lose resolution, ie the element won't be as accurate, but it won't be too bad. You'll also have to add fuel throughout to compensate.

I think you should reduce your injector scaling anyways, since you are pretty lean before you get into boost around 50% throttle and I'm pretty sure open-loop.

That's the problem with sending em2 files via email. The config of the Support Tool even version will mess it up.

He needs to take a working EM2 and just copy the maps. I don't think cut-n-paste works, so it is a PITA.

Also, all I changed was the positive PSI range from duty to duration, so his idle problems aren't from that.

It has to be setup/config issue IMO.

Any chance you can give him a hand?

I will when I get my hands on it soon. It's hard fixing it over the internet...

Is this a maf off a chevy z32 or is there a maf out there named Z32?

I apologize, but I'm just starting to mess around with my maxima.

The 90-96 300ZX's model number is Z32, just like the 95-99 Maxima is A32.

Since the VQ30 and VG30 both are NS-2 for the MAF, how are we suppose to upgrade to a Z32 MAF?

I also started thinking, if 5th gens have the similar element to the 350z, shouldnt they use the VQ35 maf setting/NS-1?
I got Jeremy to try this but his car turns off inbetween shifts

Jeremy needs to move his MAF to the non-charged side or figure out the optimal settings for the Anti Engine stall map to fix that issue.
