Unless he's looking for 600+ WHP or so i don't see why he'd need those sleeves since no one has really pushed the stock block to the limit yet. But they look hawt nonetheless. What are you gonna do about the tranny though?

Let's just say that we're fixing to "up the ante", so to speak.. The 6spd came in a few weeks ago.. it's currently apart, having it's guts dipped in liquid nitrogen.

Yes, the car will be at Maxus... come hell or high water..

I can't say much about the setup... he wants to keep the specifics under wraps until it's finished.. I'll leave you guys with this.. The car will have a 10 point cage, and possibly a parachute..

So what maxima body style is this going in? I thought it was going into a S13 because Turbos13hatch posted it, Im glad some ones going all out nuts in a maxima.

Looks like I will have to go to maxus any way. And driving doesnt really bother me.

It will be in a 2001 Maxima GXE. To say it blunty it will destroy any notion of a reasonably fast or powerful Maxima.

IDK why they chose (frosty I started to put "choose") to use the AEBS over the Dartons since that is what I told Frosty to get several times.

Tilley's closer than me unfortunately hehe. I'm not playing in the same game as Mardi is... only thing I can shoot for is stock 3.0 motor no nitrous record right now lol.

EDIT: Tilley just sent me an IM from his phone on his way home from the track... Tilley is ALOT closer than me now it seems hehehe.

Quite frankly, this car will be in a totally different ballpark than any other Maxima out there.. We're talking about a 800-900whp setup, on huge slicks, with the proper suspension mods to put the power down. We're looking at a low 9 second car trapping in the low to mid 150's.

I know that many of you guys don't know me, or my work... But, I know a lot about building big power cars.. and I've been in the Nissan camp for almost 5 years. We have been pretty tight-lipped about the whole project, because we wanted to shock people with it once it was done.. We still plan to, as I won't be posting ANY pics or videos until it's completed towards the end of the month.

I chose the AEBS sleeves, because I don't trust the open deck design of Darton. Yes, I know that people use them, and they do work, but I have been using AEBS for years, with great success. Many of the failures that you see with sleeves dropping, are from poor machining. You can't allow ANY trash to come between the register and the sleeve's seating surface.. or you will drop the sleeve as soon as you put any big power through it. I use a very good machine shop in FL, and haven't had a failure in years. I machine coolant passages through the sleeves, into the head, and that keeps overheating to a minimum.

I'm not at all worried about beating mardi's times... like i've said before.. the fastest maxima's come from Louisiana... If any of you want to see the car, it'll be at Maxus. Be sure to bring a camera, and if you want to go for a ride, you'll be sitting on the floorboard, oh and there will be no seat belts either so you better bring one of these... http://survivalcenter.com/Emergency%...0Supplies.html

btw, i'm tired of all the fastest maxima's being 4th gens.. it's time for 5th gen's to join the party. i own a 4th gen also, so i have love for them too, but it's time for a 5th gen to be fast.
