No. The 1000 CHP build was going to be for Frosty's 2k maxima.

Travis has an S13, and I know he is involved in swapping VQs into 240SXs, but this thread is about Frosty's maxima.

Long story short, Travis has done very little on the project besides order parts, out source most of the work that has actually been done, and spent all of the money paid. I don't know if I can say anything else.

We discussed it and decided it should stay open to await resolution.

 

Seems like frosty should have checked up on travis's reputation on thevboard and b15.net, he may have avoided making the mistake of working with him in the first place. He's got a history of taking more than a year just to send out a turbo kit that he took up front payment for, much less doing work on your car.

 

Where do you come off making a statement like that? Pissed away his money? I have 90% of his stuff here.. It HAS been here for a long time, and Frosty has seen most of his stuff. If anything, I've come out of my own pocket to fund this damn project, because I didn't quote nearly enough. I'm not on here complaining about it, but I'll be damned if I'm going to be called out for taking a while to build this race car. I work on it when I get a chance.. between MONEY MAKING projects.. This car wasn't dropped off with me with the intention for it to be a full out drag car, which is what this has turned out to be. The car was brought to me for simple repairs.. but, it evolved into building a race car. Frosty paid me over the course of a year and 1/2 or so, and we purchased bits/pieces as money permitted.

My reputation took a beating back in the day, but, I've busted my *** to fix that over the past few years. I don't appreciate comments like that, which you obviously have no basis to prove/disprove. Frosty's car is still here, as are all of his parts, and he is welcome to come here to see them whenever he wishes. I haven't talked to him, nor have I heard from him in a while..

The car was never built.. the chassis is up for sale, along with a 04 350z engine and several transmissions.

It has nothing to do with money.. it has everything to do with not having enough time to take care of everyone, much less build another race car. It also has nothing to do with making big power.. I'm more than capable of building something of that calibur.

 

I have never swapped a VQ into a 240sx chassis.. I have performed tons of FWD swaps, but, that's the extent of my VQ endeavors.

I've done a bunch of work.. the engine is 100% finished.. the hot parts are about 50% finished, and I have 90% of the parts here to install everything. I simply haven't had time to mess with it. Frosty's car is a side project.. We have discussed this numerous times. I'm not making anything from it, therefore, I cannot devote 100% of my time to finishing it. He knows this, and unless something has changed, he hasn't complained to me about it.
