4 digit horsepower components... :)

A few custom pieces showed up at my door today for the snow-mobile..

Now, just waiting for the sleeved bottom end to get here, and we can start assembling!

What's funny, is that JWT designs some of the best cam profiles out there... Maybe not VQ stuff in the past.. but, thier SR and QR stuff is out of this world. These sticks are the 2nd set in existance.. the other set is in VRT's JWT Tuned 780whp/825ft lb Z33. They might be slow on turn around time for ECU's, but Clark Steppler is the man when it comes to cam design.

With the turbocharger and cams that we're running... probably 25psi.. give or take a few pounds.

So are you looking at a T76 or T88 ballpark?
T4 or T6 turbine?

Looks like fun.

4 digit horsepower claims are bold, considering I haven't seen a 350z guy do it yet, even with $30k+ engine builds + big turbos. They all seem to have head lift issues once they get into the 700hp range. What do you plan to do about that?

They all seem to be switching to 1/2 head studs over the 3/8 studs. Also some guy is selling this thing, im not smart enough to understand the purpose of it. http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=189728 Hes get a nbig blower though. hehe

You're right... they are very big claims.. However, I usually back up my claims. We build some pretty sick sh*t here in LA.. The problem that the Z guys are having, is related to a lack of tuning options. I refuse to believe that they are stretching 3/8" ARP studs.. I think the issue is detonation, and a poor cooling system. I think they're seeing localized boiling, and steam pockets, which, in turn, is misinterpreted for "head lift". JWT's car that made 824ft lbs of TQ, was @ 20psi, on C16, with STOCK head head bolts, sleeves, and head gaskets. The only thing that the engine has is forged pistons and rods. Think about it.. all of those Z guys are trying to make ridiculous power with piggyback systems. I have yet to see one with a full standalone, tuned properly. With the TEC-3, and a few cooling system tricks, I'll bet that we don't have "head lift" issues. Time will tell I guess..

I can't give out the specs.. sorry.. That was part of the deal for letting us use these. But, they WILL make production soon.. JWT's C-series is a good balance between streetability, and a decent race cam. I wish I could give you guys more info..

Those are old school, outdated compressor's.. We're going with something a little more new, but it's still T4 based. Think AMS EVO...

Old school still works.

I was mostly curious if you were going with the big frame or not.

I guess you are going to be revving to the moon with that sucker...enjoy.

itll go fast enough to blow the hood off anyway, so he might as well leave it off.

I would love to see one of the VQ35 240s with a 350Z Stillen SC sticking through the hood.

This guy is selling a Stage III w/6K miles for $3K and you could sell the CF hood....http://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=193022

Subscribing to wait for dyno. How long of a project do you plan on making this?

What car is this crazyness intended to go in?

The motors already stick through the S13 hoods Icey. The blower would make it horrible. IMO, you need a bigblock to do stuff like that.
