What do you Guys Think of This Blower ??
I was Always looking for a Ttrim and I found one of these blowers. The V-7 JT Trim.
I called Up Vortech and they said its race only but you can use it on the street. He then went on to say that youll really need to rev the pis* out of the blower to build boost. Which is the oposite i was thinking. I figured it would build boost really early.
What do you guys think. ??
The dementions of the blower are a bit larger than the S-Trim Blower and the flow rates are a bit more.
VORTECH V-7 JT-TRIM SUPERCHARGER
"Large blower" performance in a smaller package that fits most existing Vortech bracketry
Fits engines up to 1000 horsepower
Maximum airflow: 1,450 CFM
Maximum boost pressure: 27 PSI
Maximum impeller speed: 60,000 RPM
Adiabatic efficiency: 75%
Compared to The V1 Trim and the S Trim Blower
VORTECH V-1 T-TRIM SUPERCHARGER
The supercharger of choice for street/strip vehicles with modified engines
Straight cut spur gear
Fits engines up to 825 horsepower
Maximum airflow: 1,200 CFM
Maximum boost pressure: 26 PSI
Maximum impeller speed: 55,000 RPM
Adiabatic efficiency: 73%
VORTECH V-2 SQ (Super Quiet) SUPERCHARGER
The new generation supercharger included in most Vortech street supercharging systems
Helical cut gear profile with SQ technology
Near silent operation
Fits engines up to 680 horsepower
Maximum airflow: 1,000 CFM
Maximum boost pressure: 20 PSI
Maximum impeller speed: 50,000 RPM
Adiabatic efficiency: 72%

IMO the T-trim was right at the break of overkill on the little 3.0L if you plan to use the stock motor. The Vortech blowers just don't make enough torque with the small displacement. My car made approx 14-15psi with the 3.125 pulley on the T-trim which is already about as high as one would want to go on a stock motor 3.0l. If it was me I wouldn't go a step up from the T-trim and Im sure the cost difference and not having an upgradeable headunit would make it not worth the added cost.

If I were to use a Vortech SC on my car I would have tried the YSi. So I do believe the JT is worth a shot. I don't get why most of the SC guys haven't already dropped the S-Trim toy by now.

14-15 with the 3.125. My Lord the T trim is a beast.

Yea I know the T-trim is a beast. But Vortech Claims that you really need to rev the Pis* out of this blower to get any type of boost generated. I think that would kinda be a negative cause of mid range, but all of the stats on the blower really do look nice. Including the Airflow and the impeller speed, but it doesnt stay it has "Straight Cut Sper Gears" which may be the difference of why this needs to be reved so high
