Looks good. Finally took the plunge, huh? Any changes to your setup now? How come you still have the passenger seat in?

The install looks good, but I wouldn't exactly put a "Pro Street" label on your car as that class typically means your car is running high 6's at over 200MPH, and most times must be capable of running 7.99 quarter mile or quicker ET's.

Good luck with everything though.

No major changes. Boost-A-Pump is in. Bigger nitrous jet.

I should be at MIR Friday night 6/23 for a few shake down runs. Then on Sunday 6/25 for the IDRC race.

Its not a cage, just a 5 point. A cage isnt needed until 9.99. I think Rons is just a 4 point roll bar IIRC? So it wouldnt be legal at the track. The front tie in makes getting in and out very interesting. I have a swing out kit I need to put on.

Its about as pro street as a maxima will get By the numbers Real Street is a better discription I guess.

First time I SAW one. From what Mardi said, it's not even a full cage, but still the first time I personally saw one.

I need to run it to be sure, but I should be okay with fuel to 140mph or so.

Just curious, why did you keep the factory seats and not smaller lighter racing seats?

I know of several tracks around here that do not care what you have done. No rules. Don't spend more money on safety items, just move next time...lol. Looks good.

Yeah capitol raceway up here sucks when it comes to inspections. The guy doesn't even check my car he just writes the number on it goes to the next car. I could have a 200 shot running 11's and they would never know.

You start rinning 11s they will get to know you and will look. If you want to run at big events they will look at you good. I ran a few 11.4s they day they were having a big bracket racing event at MIR and thats when they hit me up for the roll bar and stuff. They were all very nice about it but I just think they couldnt stand a maxima woopin up on the mass of hot rod bracket cars their that day so they shut me down

In reality, the bottom line is that I owe it to my wife and three kids to be as safe as possible.

Yeah but most tracks that don't follow the rules haven't heard of VHT and track prep.

My manual seats weight 29 lbs for the drivers side and only 20lbs for the passenger side- these are CLOTH, fully manual no power adjustment GXE seats.

Mardi- great job on the cage, I might do the same to keep my body from flexing durring road racing. Good luck out there and stay safe !

Not in my experience so much. My best 60' time was at a podunk track with a guy saying "hi, you're all set to go" while writing my number on the car. Overall there's no appreciable difference in my 60' times from Rt 66, Norwalk, Stanton, and US131 (the strict tracks I've run at) vs Milan, US41, GLD, Byron, Osceola, and Lapeer. Thunderbird was definately worse but that is because that track is just a complete joke in every respect, they don't even have a website I don't think.
