Hey i just thought i would chim in a little bit. There my not be anything wrong with justin's car. Utah isn't really a "hot spot" for racing so that shows with the shops and such. (Im not knocking on all the shops in utah as there are some really good ones (mostly for vw's and audi's)) By such i mean like tracks (not the new mmp cuz that is sexy) and dynoing equipment. Myself and justin many times have tried to get a proper dyno, that wasn't on a "dynomite" to which we were either stood up 3 times or told that they don't dyno maxima's.

If you ran at rmr's "midnight drags" you would understand that they arn't at all a way to measure your 1/4 times. I have seen evo's and sti's run 16 sec passes with decent drivers. I myself managed a 15.4 pass @ 90mph with full i/h/e and 17*advance. I was spinning through 3rd i mean the track is subpar to be nice. As for the dyno i put down 223whp and 197tq in a second gear pull. But when i run with some of the big dawgs out here (stage 2 srt4's, evo's, sti's etc.) I was either next to or beating them. So im just saying that there may not be anything wrong with his car.

Sorry for spelling and grammer i just worked a 10 hour day and am exhausted.

The track condition isnt all that great either, this sounds like I'm making a bunch of excuse on why my track time is so poor but it really isnt my intention. The event I run at is called the midnight drags, the purpose of this event isnt like your normal track day, its really to keep the illegal street races at a minimum on the weekends so they only prep the track once before the start of the night and dont unless there was a spill of some sort. They don't really care much for the condition of the track so many of the cars dont post a good track time unless they have slicks or DRs.
I'm not the only one here that has poor times from this track, other org members (Mass Media & Glenmoormax) havent had much success in terms of getting anything better than 15+ sec passes. My friend with DR on a 75shot 5th gen can only manage a 2.0 60'... Evo's, STI's, SS, Mach I stangs all running high to mid 14's. That kinda tells you what I'm up against. You guys can say we all can't drive or what not but all I know is I'm not the only one having a hard time getting a decent run in. I don't know what to say to make it better but I can post slips of the cars that I ran against and all are running similar times and 60's.
(RMR SUCKS!!!) Its funny because we post times on here and we automatically expect, (oh crappy times you can't drive etc etc) well, lets just put it this way, even tilley's and mardi's maximas wouldn't be in the 11's, they might make that power to get there but i don't think the track would let them make those kinds of passes, low 12's at best. STI's, EVO's, 350Z's, high 15's all day long at RMR... N/A 4th gen with bolt ons were 17's all day...

True true, I ran that previous tuesday, here is my story...

Yesterday i was invited to attend the Brasher auto auction drags at RMR from my brothers friend who put on the show. They rented out the whole track and there was about 60 cars there, 3/4's of which were low 12's or faster, lol. We did some bracket racing so I was in contention with about 5 350z' and a 11 sec talon and 12 sec eclipse, oh and a pontiac bonneville...

My first run my clutch slipped ALL the way down the track, my car sat at 5K all the way down but still managed a 14.7, not bad, it was a PB for me. the next few times it slipped way bad so i had to let off and got a 15.3. then i ran again and didn't spray until 2nd gear, and managed a 15 flat. Ok, so then i set my dial in time at 14.8 thinking, okay my clutch won't hold etc...

We set up our brackets and im lined up against some kid in a black 350z with body kit and carbon fiber hood, his dial in time was a 15.8. He gets the head start then i play catch up, half way down the track i pass him and pull him about a car, so towards the end im thinking, hmm my clutch held and this feels like a fast run, so i slam on the brakes to not beat my time, and i still beat him, but i lose anyways. I ran a 14.5 at 88 mph when i trapped around 98 the whole time.

All in all a PB of 14.5 includin a PB 60' of 2.3 even though I slammed on the brakes at the end. That was with full interior and on my winter tires. I ordered some DR and have traction bars and a LSD to install still, Also a new cluch and an 00VI, then i hope to me in the 13.9ish

Thought i would share my time even though i lost im happy with my 160K max running a decent time, considering my slipping clutch, and that C5's were running the same times as me.
