Bye Bye Clutch

Well wipped out my clutch this weekend . I have a ACT Stage 1 that was suppose to hold my supercharger. Well it did for like 15,000 miles but this weekend I started ripping off 1st gear and banged second and when I hit second it did nothing but burn the clutch. We I guess I will have to got to a stage II. Any recomendations over a ACT clutch? And where is the cheapest place to buy one right now?

I have nothing to compare it to, but my Exedy stage II is holding up strong.

Clutchnet's red 2x, that's what you'll need, it's 6 pucks, grabs tight and fast engagement.

I would try to adjust your clutch first. I was having clutch slippage issues which were solved simply by adjusting the engagement point of the clutch. Problem went away.

Neal, can you elaborate more on this topic? I've had stick-slip issues over all 3 clutches I've been through. I'm suspecting it's the adjustment problem, too. But I've never read up on an interesting topic of adjusting the engagement. Thanks.

I didnt know it had an adjustment (I will read the manual tonight). I will look ath the car this weekend and if it turns out to be a bad clutch then I will check into the Clutchnet's red 2x 6p.

Thanks for the info.

just check your haynes, chiltons, or FSM. all you have to do is a loosen a nut on the adjustment screw and turn it a few times to adjust the enagement point. it's part of the clutch pedal assembly under the dash.

clutch

I have an ACT for sale on ebay right now. I am running the exact same setup in my supercharged max and love it.(8000 miles so far) Ultra smooth engage and holds the power great. I need to get rid of this kit so its going cheap. here is the link:
