Lookin to buy an AFPR... have a question...

I want to buy an AFPR, but when I was lookin them up, I found that they have a range only from like, 25-60 psi. The highest I've seen was 70 psi. I thought fuel pressure surpasses that amount?

I was lookin to buy this one from Summit...

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Anyone have any opinions of it?

Also, with this installed I would no longer need the FMU correct? Where is the FMU located? I have the stock Stillen setup as far as I know. I bought the car with the kit so I'm not positive but, where should it be?

Thanks for the help guys.

Looks like you want to upgrade the fuel system like I'm doing at the moment!

I've read that the afpr's only job is to lower the fuel pressure to 34psi at idle. For some strange reason I can't lower my Aeromotive fpr below 40psi down to 34 psi @ idle and so I'm picking up an AEM brand today.

I have the BEGI fmu hooked up to the fpr. It replaces the stock Stillen fmu.

This FPR may not work for you. First off, this doenst have a vacuum/boost port so it will not change the fuel pressure from idle to wot. even the stock FPR has a vacuum port. Second, it doesnt even come with any mounting brackets nor any extra ports for a gauge.

IMO s quality FPR costs about $100+ depending on what brand, some people have used ebay FPRs but the one my friend bought was a POS. The one that I bought and have been working well is from Accufab. Its about $110 which is one of the cheapest one I've found.

The B&M one from Summit above is for a Honda/Acura only. You need a universal one.

Awsome! haha .. thanks guys. Anyone know the location of the stock FMU? Because I'd need to replace/bypass it somehow in order to correctly use the FPR, right?

Thanks again.

its right off the end of the rear bank fuel rail. You need to buy a fitting from someone on the org (sx7?) and replace the fpr.
