Turboing Your Max
I was wondering if someone with a turbo'ed 4th Gen could explain some tip's and hint's to purchasing a 4th Gen w/ a Turbo and what the usual issues are and the difficulty to fix?

hmm also i bought a 4th gen and am looking into turbo.. i actually have the parts lying around but was wondering what else i would need. i have a t4 turbo, wastegate, lowoff valve, boost controller, intercooler, all the flanges, and a boost gauge. so just wondering what else besides the piping i would need?

One very important thing that is needed is the proper ECU, piggyback, SAFCII to control the air, fuel, timing. You can't just slap a kit together and not have a plan on how it will all work together. Remember, if you don't have a proper tune, you will be spending money to rebuild the motor very soon. Also consider upgrading the stock fuel pump, maf and injectors; this will all depend on how much power you want to make, which translates into how much boost you will want to run.
