Made a 3" exhaust

Well it was time to upgrade to a full 3" exhast. Before I was just using a 2.5" warpspeed, so I brought a bend kit from http://store.racing-solutions.org/ and had some 3" straight piping laying around, then i got some clamps from http://stores.channeladvisor.com/verociousmotorsports . I still have to weld in the exhaust hangers, and the bungs for the o2 and wideband, ill tune it a little and go dyno it. Heres a quick picture of it

For now the car is being ran with an open dp, it pulls pretty good, just a little hard to just drive around(noise level).

Is that all one piece from the stock cat position all the way back to the muffler position?

Wow - impressive piece of work.... something to make your own turbo tubing with... hummmm.

I had a 3" cat-to-tip system built by Warpspeed after I drove to their old shop in Rogers, Arkansas. Also a special Y-pipe with 2" ceramic-coated downpipes to the 3" Y. They had to cut the pipe above the rear axle, because I had the car lowered too far to put the new pipe in, and rewelded it back together in place. It looks the same now as it did 2 1/2 years ago.

I've got some pictures of the installation somewhere, if you need any information. Guess I could post them to photobucket...

No resonator ??
Those are Mandral bends right ?

You may have to cut that section in the rear and re-weld when you go to install it. Your not going to be able to get it over the rear crossmemeber in one peice

Good work though.

Sorry, no that piece of aluminum piping is holding the rear section up so it does look like one piece, but its in two section. No resonator right not, if its to much then ill weld one in. It is also mandrel bent pipe from the company above

I'll be interested in the dyno to see the power change from 2.5 to 3". I'm still in the valley of decision on whether to make the exhaust 2.5, 2.75, or 3". I'm just a daily driver.

Under heavy acceleration, it quiets down alot. cruising speeds its very bearable. I did get the wideband installed though, and im seeing afr's from 10.4 to 11.5 in third gear at w.o.t. So i got some tuning to do, then its dyno time. Hoping for a low 300 at this altitude
