i emailed vortech

i asked them about the marbles sound at idle with the v2 and they said if it dissapears as i go up the rpm rangwe its normal.. its just the backlash of the gears.. so he said im in the clear.. whew..

haha yea i think i got it figured out. i KNOW its something to do with how the guy put the alternator in though... ive checked everything, put the 6rib on etc and the alternator is the ONLY pulley that doesnt line up correctly

Check to see if the pulley is loose on the shaft or if the belt is on too tight. Those two things can cause the marbles in the can noise. A loose pulley will vibrate and an overtightened belt will cause premature bearing failure. Been there, done that

thx blackcat. i think ill check if the belt is too tight.. iv already had the pulley screw come of fand redid it with loctite red.. hehe thx for the tip about the belt =)

you should be able to twist it with your fingers so you can see A few ribs
but not all of them hope this helps a bit

Yep I did. Had to cancel my dynotune appointment due to heavier than usual snow.
