Z32 MAF problems. Anyway to check if its blown?
I bought a z32 MAF from a junkyard. I used Requin6's method of hooking it up. i start the car, waited a bit, a/f started to lean out till it went off charts, then reved it and the car basically rev's the same way it does when u unplug the maf completly. Then I used Matty's way of hooking it up which is getting one of the grounds and putting it to the ground on battery, and nothing. still did the same. when driving it. Is there any way of maybe checking resistance or anything. I put the lil probes of my meter into each wire, i got 12v, ground was fine, then the signal read i think like .7 something, then i blew air into it and it read 1.##. which means the maf reads fine. now what could be the problem? can it just be blown? (There is also an orange wire on my z32 maf, that i put to the side and left un connected its in the A position.)

What are you using to check the a/f? What injectors are you running?
Did you check the stickies about hooking it up? There are 2 of them you know. You can connect BOTH GND's together and it will work fine.
Check wiring and get back to us

I tested both way of hooking up the maf, one was putting both grounds together and using the ecu's ground. and the other was separating the grounds, one to ecu and one to ecu ground like how matty has it.
I found the problem though. I was supposed to change the settings on my VAFC2. On the sensor number, i had it at 6in 6out, now i put it to 2in 4out, and it works perfect. i am going to calibrate the wideband tomorrow because my a/f is constantly at 11.5 at idle. or even under acceleration. the car drives perfect, dosnt feel fat so im going to calibrate wideband cuz maybe its off. btw i have 370 injectors.
