Intake Air Temperature (turbo)?
Hey ya'll, Well I would like to know if anyone has logged their intake air temperature. Mine to me look a little higher, i logged a run down the track (1/4), temp started at around 130F, then at the end of the run it was at 170F. I would like to know, are these high temp's? What temps are reasonable?

I did some asking around with some very knowledgeable turbo guys (not maxima guys) and they were all in agreement that 170 degree IATs are very high, getting into the dangerous range. Most of those guys said they don't see IATs much higher than about 50-60* above ambient so we're talking about the 140 range.

Are you using the IAT sensor that used to be in the snorkle on your car? If so I would run some tests to see that it is operating as expected before you go spending a lot of cash trying to cool your charge.
