Some More Questions for ClutchNet Owners

Alright, 6 puck sprung hub//Fidanza Flywheel. Everytime I start the car when its cold, I get a horrific grideing sound when the clutch comes together with the flywheel. Right when they meet, it grindes. ONLY when the cars cold though and only the first 4 or 5 clutch releases in first. It only really does it when Im at a stop, when im rolling and going to a gear, theres no grindeing..

I just wanna know if you guys running this clutch get this sound like me ?

I've occasionally had a moaning type of noise when bringing the pedal up but it's nothing that's consistent, I only remember hearing it a few times.

What Flywheel are you using ? Im thinking of just switching flywheels.

There has to be a problem here. Yea granted its only there when the car is cold, but it shouldnt be doing that. Once the car is warm, there are NO Noised. Like I said, about 4 or 5 clutch releases

It's your flywheel! A friend of mine had the same issue you have, replaced his light wheel for oem..and done. There is nothing else that would cause that noise. Specially if your clutch and flywheel need to make contact first a couple times for the noice to go away. Get it???
I have a stock flywheel. Before I installed mine I did alot of research and heard that with this clutch the OEM flywheel is the best way to go

I'm pretty sure Ian has a similiar issue, though you may want to ask him directly. He is running a fidanza/clutchnet.

He informed me that his noise went away at 2000 miles. There is no way this noise is going away. Its been the same since I installed the setup

I have a clutchnet clutch and Fidanza flywheel. Ive just reached 600+miles today but I havent heard any grinding noise. I do get a moan every once in while right before it engages though.
I have to admit though I expected this stage II cluch to be a bit more stiffer then my Exedy Stage I.
Right now the pedal pressure is pretty soft compared to the Exedy. Its not mushy like its need to be bled, but it is softer then i expected it to be.

I dont know how some people have this griding and some people dont. Its like a Quick GRIND/MOAN, and goes away after the clutch is engaged and also goes away once the clutch is warmed up...HOT !! Cause I can stop for a few minutes like to pick up food, and get back in, and itll make the noise again. Meaning it doesnt have to sit like over night to make the noise.

MikeD had a clutchnet and fidanza and I don't recall him ever mentioning any weird noises.

My clutch CHATTER went completely away at 2k miles. (I can't even make it chatter if I try now).

I get a serious moan, especially when backing up, when the clutch is cold.

But I usually only get it in the mornings, loudest in the winter months - not after just stopping/starting within a few hours.

So I guess the Moan/Grind is normal. Im getting just a little bit of Chatter to date, barely anything though. The cold moan/grind is a bit annoying

I have a clutchnet/fidanza and i occasionally get a moan, when the car is cold. Typically when backing up, but occasionally when engaging first. Either way it's exceptionally rare though and only get a moan the very first clutch release
