V2 supercharger finally installed and running!

After months and months of waiting to get the supercharger installed, we finally was able to finish it tues. I have to give ALL the credits to kmax2988 (Keith) and doc2278 (Chris) for helping me install it. Keith was very knowledgable and had no problems install it for me. He had done install on 4gen before and my was the first 5gen he worked with. Chris was the one that help me finish the supercharger when Keith didn't have time. None of this would have been possible if it weren't for both of their help and expertise.

I also wanted to thank the people on org who I had asked questions during my install. Once I work out all the kinks then I can start tuning and dynoing the car. Officially I'm the 2nd boosted 5gen maxima here in southern nj behind Chris who's turbocharged! Oh I want to also thank Chris for keeping me motivated to finish my install. I ran into few problems and almost gave up on installing my supercharger.

My setup:
V2 kit on V1 plate
3.33 9psi pulley
Vortech fmu w/pump disk 8:1
Larger K&N filter for intake pipe
bosch bov

Congrats !!! Enjoy Boost. Its definetly addicting and you will be lowering your pulley very soon to reach higher numbers.

What was the outcome of the problem you were having ??

With the smaller pulley it wasn't rubbing against the inner post. But, we routed the belt the same way with stock 3.6 but it was rubbing. I know most people that bought your plate used 3.33 size pulley or smaller. So that's why you never heard about this problem.

Once everything is running good then yes it was worth it! Of course going thru all the problems that I had wasn't fun either. Did you get yours tune and/or dyno yet? I'm now in market for a apexi safc II for tuning and dynoing my car.

Thank you for the mad props Gene. I knew once you drove it, all the crap you had to go through would be worth it.

Now get a Cat back and SAFCII, you will be pleased with how it sounds and runs with those 2 mods!!!!

Congrats on the boost man! Glad you finally got it running good.

I would think a VAFC-II would be better since there are more tuning points. A wideband 02 won't hurt either.

The only time I really push it so far is on the hwy. I definately feel the power once it goes above 3000 rpm. I still have some kinks to work out then after that get my car tuned and dyno. I can't wait to see what kind of numbers I'm making. When will you get your car tuned and dyno?
