Supercharged/Turbocharged The increase in air/fuel pressure above atmospheric pressure in the intake system caused by the action of a supercharger or turbocharger attached to an engine.

Can anybody post pics of where they mounted their gauges at?

No, not with out it fitting unlevel. The dash there is concaved (sp?) It is dished in also you will have to drill a pretty big hole in the dash to get the wiring and vaccum hose thru.

True, but with a little bit a creativity and tools, the pod can be made to fit the contours of the dash, assuming the concaveness is small enough. Wiring can be put in a fancy loom, go straight to the windshield, then tucked behind the dash and windshield and not be seen. Not the cleanest looking, but it's an option.

No need to tuck wires in the back of the dash. Just run them down the hole where the clock usually sits. You will also need to find a way to mount it without tearing up the dash.

I saw on egauges.com they have this 2 and 3 gauges dash pod which might fit good on my 5gen. I really prefer not having to drill anything but able to use double side tape and route the wiring and tubing behind dash.

Check... this is not my car... but this is my IDEAL setup. I got a HKS triple dash din for $65, and now I'm in search of some nice AutoMeter Phantom II gauges to fit these bad boys in. I use to have a triple gauge pod, but that seemed to attract unwanted attention at night. This is more sleek, and sleeper like;

Plus I plan on adding a 4th gauge (nitrous) in one of the cup holders of a 97, and the second cup holder will hold the switches like this (again not my car)

Again another photo that is not mine... but you can also mount you gauges like this;

Or for those with new models... like this (not mine)

Yeah, I guess you 5th gen guys can do that.

For 4th gens, we'd have to hug/overlap the ac vents every so slightly to conceal the wiring. But with two or three gauges, the wiring will be substantial........hence why I suggested the alternate method.

Those cups are pretty thin, but they are real carbon fiber. They weigh pretty much nothing in comparison to the normal cups.

I scored a set of those on Ebay for 50 bux shipped for all 3, new. I think they are like 45ish bux each normally.

I really like your setup BlackbirdVQ. I used those carbon fiber cups too back with my old setup. Nice stuff. I wish our center dash piece (4th gens) went over the top of the AC vents and started going up the dash like yours.... I'd have that exact setup if that was the case.

Thanks Wizard

I should take some better pictures next time, camera phone can only do so much. I've been meaning to take pics of it (whole car) as I had a few magazines ask me for some pictures at some of the events I attended.

It looks like the triple pillar gauges is probably what I'm going to go with. I do like the gauge cups that blackbirdvq have on his car also.

If I get some time tomorrow I will try to snap some pics with my SLR of the gauges. They look very good in person vs in pictures.

Ephraim- everything is working, @ Maxus I only had the gauges mounted as I ran out of time hooking up the sensor and such. I got a Greddy oil filter adapter that houses my oil pressure sender and oil temp senders, and a AutoMeter coolant temp sender adapter that goes inline one of the radiator hoses. Its pretty accurate, the gauges are a bit bright at night- I'm thinking of adding a resistor to the illumination circuit to make them less bright.

I'm going to add 2 more gauges on-top of the steering column, and move my PLX M300 - to where the dimmer switch is right in the gauge bezel. AutoMeter Cobalt EGT and Boost gauges for my new addition to the onboard instrumentation.

lol as I talk about this, when I haven't even started on my turbo manifold yet; even though I have two threads about what I want to do. (I do have things in the mail, but that doesnt count just yet becuase I don't have them in my hand )

I do want my double-DIN GPS (Eclipse AVN-series, don't care which one), and I want my gagues in my vents, to keep it completly silent ( I wonder how much the heat will affect them since I live in upstate NY, and have crazy *** winters)

The question I want to know is wether or not people have made some custom instrument panels that look stock, but obviously (to us) are not. Come on people!!! I want to see boost gauges, a/r gauges and accurate temp gauges in a nice custom instrument panel in the dash!!!! Don't say "Well, why don't you do it!"
Because the answer is that I don't have them know-how (and I don't pretend tp), nor am I in the position to do this; but I am always willing to learn, and I am confident I can learn anything and everything I put my mind to. I am confident that there are people out there that are 10x smarter than me, and can figure this out. I don't want to have to tell people what my gauges are for, because they know they're not stock, I want to have them notice them by me telling them that "I put these here" or "This is my custom instrument panel" just my .02

I feel you there... I have three options as far as my gauges setup goes:

Option 1:

Top Din: 7inch FlipOut Screen
Middle Din: HKS Triple Dash Din

Bottom Din: Stock

Option 2:

Top Din: Screen (that screen that fits both dins together)
Midl Din: Screen (as stated above)

Bottom Din: Hks Triple Dash Din

Option 3:

Top Din: 7inch FlipOut Screen
Middle Din: HKS Triple Dash Din (typical rice gauges; air/fuel-electricty-time)
Glove Box: Custom Gauge Holder for 4 Gauges, (important gauges) with two custom pockets one for my SAFC, and another for my 6.5inch TV (it all fits)
Bottom Din: Stock

I'll post photos soon!!!

Yes it's me. I can't upload until Dell replaces the mother board and memory on my other computer. I like the gauges because it's very hot in Vegas summers and I get stuck in traffic.
I like keeping an eye on the drive train components.

I mounted my gauges at above my steering column.
