vaccum 4 dek?

01 dek motor has been returned to n/a and cannot remember the vaccum configuration! Car will start and stalls out slowly. If throttle is applied car dies out instantly... I cant figure out which way the lines are supposed to go, any help would be great!

This car has been sitting for a year because of this problem! MAF is newly replaced along with air intake by injen. Also, this is the original motor in the car which is a 2001 se, 5 spd. (brothers old car) It had a v2 with the standard kit runing 10psi with the aux fuel pump.. The entire v2 kit has been removed and returned back to stock except for the intake. Cant keep it running for more than a few seconds.

Thanks, Brandon

Your best bet would probably be to check out the vacuum diagram in the FSM. You can download it frm phatg20.

Wish I could be more helpful, but I don't have the Max around to check things out.

I don't know if this would be the same on that motor, but on my car I thought I had a vacuum issue because the car would barely start. If it did, the car would idle extremely low and when the throttle was opened even a tad the car would die. Turned out the car was running far too rich at idle...somehow the ECU got messed up and I had to reset it. Good luck though.

That because it's kind of a tough question, considering how many vacuum lines there are. Post up pics, that will increase the odds of getting accurate answers.
