I have a 91 vg30e running safcII, 370cc brown top injectors. The car fires buty will not stay running. I have an adjustable regulator and can play with it while someone cranks and at any random time it fires can rev it a little and it dies. Crank on it right after it dies and it won't fire. Any ideas on what it could be???

 

I thought you had a post asking this or did it start doing this again after you fixed it?

 

ya i did no one could seem to help and I was working few hundred miles from home for a few months. Now that im home I got it to run and actually make it rev to about 2000 rpms and made few lbs of boost but it instantly dies. Ive been able to play with the fpr to make it run here and there.

 

I would check your maf.

 

could it be possible that my rpm signal wire on my safcII is not hooked up. That is what is next on my list just found out what pinout on ecu it is.

 

What engine management are you using? I didn't realize you could go from NA to boost using a SAFC?

 

SAFCII yes that is what im running

 

i assume you've checked all vacuum lines?

 

Im running it on my 4th gen. so yea a safc II is ok to use .
