question about 300zx maf

as you all know I'm turboing my 5th gen vq30de-k. I was going to make a custom inside diameter maf housing and use my factory maf sensor but all the aluminum pipe that I'm finding is 3 inch outside diameter and 2 7/8 inside diameter.

can I use a 300zx (z32) maf sensor on my 5th gen? if so does anyone have a wiring diagram?

Also is there any specific year or model I need to get the maf sensor from?

Do I need a twin turbo 300zx maf?

I didn't check your build thread to see if you are going to run an emanage, but I was going to say just keep stock maf and use the MAP also.

Just use the Landrover MAF.

You just swap your Sensor into the LR MAF housing. Its like 82mm i believe.

I have both a 300zx TT MAF and non-turbo MAF at home. The pins are different (one has 5 pins and the other has 4 pins), and the pig tail wiring colors are different.

There are no turbo specific meters - they are the same. They even have the same part number 22680-30P00.

Then how do you explain the physical differences I described here???

I'm pretty sure I read in one of absoundlab's posts that he determined that a Z32 MAF couldn't be used. Hopefully he'll chime in here.

It be interesting to see how much the stock sensor can support in THAT housing.

LRMAF housing will increase the potential for the 5th gen sensor.

Odds are it won, LRMAF makes idle quite lean. At least in my experience.

Interesting, though I'm staying NA.

Why use reducing couplers? Why not make the entire tract 3"ID?

^ charge pipe is smaller, the other coupler is a 3in to 3in coupling, its just stretched over the pipe thats why the other side looks smaller. I only know this because I bought one of these from absoundlab before he got banned.
