General Supercharger Question

I have a v1 supercharger on my 99gxe and was wondering where i should see full boost by? Should it come right in or is it the same as my turbo car? I am just wondering . I am new to the supercharger thing.

Since Vortechs are centrifugal, boost is directly related to RPM; so, you'll make full boost at red line.

I was wondering. I played with it today and couldnt get more than 10psi but i guess i just need to give it more time lol.

With the 2.87, you should be pushing 13 PSI--what kind of fuel setup are you running? What is your intake setup? I've been told that the K&N that comes with the Stillen kit doesn't flow enough to make full boost on a 2.87 in pulley.

370 injectors.255walbro stillen charge pipe and aftermarket filter. safcII for tuneing. Also where should i see 13? i hit 10 at 5k but i let out since we have a lot of snow here and i have low pro tires on it.

You should make 13 PSI at ~6550 RPMs. Since you're making 10@5k, it seems like you're in good shape.

Ok cool. Just checking. I just got the car and i had to fix a bunch of lines hoses and what not. Like for one he was boosting the crank case so i redid that . Then there were 9 tees that led to 3 items ,im down to 4 tees to the same ones. i also put the z32 maf in today so i have to retune soon as i hit the dyno

You'll see max boost at redline but only at the top of first gear, maybe second. You'll never see full boost at the top of third, even if you do take it redline.

congrats on the SC'ed car bro......like everyone said...full boost @ redline I have a 9lb pulley and wouldn't see 9 until im up there.....
