How does the exhaust wrap do when wash the engine?

How does the exhaust wrap do when wash the engine?

Like the title says is I am needed to wrap all my pipes and was wondering how it does when you wash your engine bay? Does it absorb much water?

Well if you followed the instructions on wrapping the pipes, you shouldnt have a problem at all (painting the pipes with silicone paint, then wrapping, then soaking the wrap itself with the silicone paint).

Its no different than driving through the rain with your pipes wrapped. My ypipe and straight pipe have been wrapped since early december and its perfectly fine.

Advance Auto Parts. Its usually right next to the DEi wrap. Its made by DEi for high temp applications, INCLUDING the wrap itself. I used this same paint to paint my turbo (black on the turbine, silver on the compressor).
