Boost gauge issues
Boost gauge issues
Hi all - this is probably something thats been covered multiple times before, but a search I didnt bring back much.
My boost gauge sits at around -18 at idle. I have the 3.125" pulley which should be good for 11 psi - however I never seem to see it go past 8 or 9 psi. I have checked all fittings and they are tight and secure. I am teeing the vacuum off the intake manifold's lower nipple. Is this the best place to tap the source from?
Cheers all - once again.

You'll see max boost at redline but only at the top of first gear, maybe second.Jordan, I've tried 3 different vacuum sources, and they always yield the same results. What you have is fine.
Your vacuum should be between 18 and 22 Hg, which it is. Sounds like you're good to go.
