Oil leak - Camshaft position sensor retainer

Okay guys i need some help. I found out where the oil leak is coming from on my car. Its leaking right from the Camshaft position sensor because I did not have the little retainer (pgs 23 of ptatohead's guide - great guide BTW) that comes with the Stillen kit(I am actually using Matty's plate, bolts and modified thermostat housing with the V2 and we used an over sized washer and the original bolt plus the O-ring is busted). Do you know where I can find that bracket or if you have one lying around shoot me a PM. It only leaks when I boost ie drive the car at ~4K rpms and up using the 3.6 pulley.

Thanks guys

IMO, getting a different/Stillen bracket is not the solution to your oil leak. Many people have fabricated their own brackets or simply used large washers like yourself to get the job done. IMO, it's the busted O-ring that is causing your oil leak.

FWIW, the bracket you are seeking is no longer available from Stillen.

It's definitely the O-ring. Get that replaced and you'll be good.

I havent used the bracket on two different engines with no leak on either one.

Replace the o-ring

i wish it was that easy. it doesnt leak at idle. only when i go into boost. and the belts fling oil everywhere, so its pretty hard to find where its coming from, starting to think my only option is to change things that can be leaking one by one

The caps lock is back on.....

A very good substitute for Stillen's oil drain hose is the OEM crankcase ventilation hose. Minor cutting/trimming is required to make it fit perfectly so the hose doesn't kink.

$25 at the dealer, $16 at everythingnissan.com

Nissan part # 11823-31U100

Part # for the K&N air filter that came with the Stillen kit is RA-0980.

Or, consider upgrading to the 4" filter for better performance. Tight fit, but it flows better.

Or, consider building your own CAI.
Read the tail end of this thread for discussion and filter sizes/part #'s
