Turbocharger question

Normally dont like to post these type of questions, but ive wondered onto a rediculous deal on a BRAND NEW turbo.

It is a Garrett T04B25. Now ive never even heard of that before, but apparently it is a Garrett turbocharger.

The only specs ive been able to find on it are its compressor is a .60 A/R and the turbine is a 1.15 A/R. Lets put it this way, i can get this turbo for about the same price as 3 tanks of gas, and its brand new in the box.

The thing is, the massive hot side, im not sure what the spool time would be like, it does have a massive hot side, but cold side is smaller-ish, so im kinda confused lol.

any input would be helpful. Im more or less looking for a turbo like Mike's I30.

T4/T04E 46 trim, but im not having any luck finding a decently priced non ebay unit.

Thanks!

I can't remember exactly but I think Mike's was like a 96 a/r, so you would have to be on the highway gunning it to get this thing to spool up, I would just get something smaller, if you plan to run nitrous it might work, but I would stay away. This is the brand turbo I have except its just the regular t3/t4.

Look at the T3/TO4S 60-1.. It's A very good turbo. This turbo will allow you to roll around town on vacuum and 2 to 4 psi at highway speeds which will be good for atomization, which can help with gas mileage...
A smaller turbine will have faster spool up but, you want a front will drive car to roll a little off the line before full boost kicks in...

good luck and if you need further assistance contact blouchturbos.com or Atpturbo.com

I forgot to mention; you need to deside what your going to do with the car, how much boost you will be running, and where would you like you power to come on....

I have A T3/T4 with a .48 A/R turbine. very fast spooling turbo, would be good for auto-x but, it's toped out at 120mph.. So I had atp spec out a turbo for me,and for my use they recommend T3/T4 60-1....

First off, what is the compressor size on this turbo? Will it flow enough for your engine? If the compressor side is okay, then you need to look at the turbine housing. The a/r of 1.15 is kinda huge but if it has a divided inlet then there is an easy mod that can help with spool.
