Need Fuel Help - Turbo

I am in the final steps of piecing together my turbo kit and I dont know what to do about fuel (college budget mind you)

My set up
garret gt40 on a vq30de mevi 5spd tuning is an emanage blue
I have everything thing imaginibale to go along with and i plan on running about 5-8psi on the 3.0 motor.

So my dilemma or options:

1) stock pump and 370cc injectors

2) stock injectors and a FMU

3)Stock injectors FMU and 255lph pump

I have been searching through and asking arund and my understanding is that 255 is needed with an fmu please correct me if i am wrong.

Anyway I am asking what is the best way to go and can i get away with option one since i have a friend selling those very cheap to me but i dont want any problems before its time to do my 3.5 swap which is much done the line.

thanks

he told me i could use an fmu with stock we didnt really talk about fuel pumps. I guess the safest is to go with a pump and 370 or fmu

Devin i would try to buy my old injectors from here http://forums.maxima.org/general-max...fs-370ccs.html and get you a fmu and a 255 to be safe. I would go larger than 370's if you have the money.

http://treperformance.com/i-133069-n...1995-2003.html

plus a FMU that emphraim would sell me and my stock injectors just to get by on low boost til i get the built 3.5 motor in

especially with my emangae and a good tune i should be ok you think?

well to be honest if you are planning to go to a 3.5 i would get a pump, afpr, and a fmu. That way you can raise your base fp . The fmu would raise fp also so a stock pump would be a no go

well if you are talking about running stock injectors you are going to want to raise your base fp along with the pressure with boost.

if I were you, get the fuel pump first. That way you get it out of the way and no matter what setup you have, having the 255 is always a plus.

i found this pump

http://treperformance.com/i-133069-n...1995-2003.html

which i am going to pick up

and then i am deciding between an 8-1 vortech fmu for 65 an adjustable fmu from begi for 145 or just 370 and fpr

I am leaning toward the begi and the fuel pump to start cause ur right streetz it will help on all set ups cause i plan on a 3.5 but might do a dek I am not 100% sure im still waiting to see more turbo 3.5 info or search it out.

370's won't be enough on their own. Especially if you lower base fuel pressure with the fpr. Also, the fuel pump is a must. I had a Stillen SC for a while before I went turbo, and it came with an aux pump. Well the shop that installed it didn't hook up the pump well and it shut down at some point. So even with the Vortech FMU on there, the car leaned out on a 3.33 pulley. Next thing you know, a cylinder is only at 150 psi.

When I still had my car and built the turbo, I started with SARD FPR, emanage, 370's, the BEGI and of course the Walbro 255. The problem you'll run into is the stock MAF. At like 4500rpm, we'd max out the voltage and this was at just 7psi. This resulted in a terrible looking A/F curve after that point. There's only so much you can do when tuning by just fuel pressure after that.

Eventually, I swapped to a Z MAF, and 660cc Deatschworks (not sure of the spelling). That resulted in a much better looking curve and the car ran better. Of course it idled like crap even with the base fuel pressure turned down to 22 psi, but that wasn't a huge deal.

I had 370cc on my 4th gen, with a 255 fuel pump and a Z32 maf with a jim wolf tune and it ran great at 12psi and was fast as hell.. then I went 3.5l and now I have 410CC injectors.. I have a custom t3/t4 setup on it.. my turbo is under the battery!
