SC setup Blitz BOV -how tight is yours set?

at the risk of being ridiculed, i'm going to ask this question.
i've read various statments regarding whether being loose will leak boost, and i am also trying to keep a balance so i vent correctly at idle

im seeing about 5psi on a 11lb pulley. that's "whatever" to me since my car has almost 150k and im not looking to destroy it.

so i played with the BOV screw on my BLITZ again and when tightened maybe 3/4 rotation from full tightness, i saw 8lbs.

**i would slip after a certain rpm, perhaps because im on a stock clutch?
does this sound most likely?

but then i noticed i wasnt venting at idle and that is not a wanted effect, (and maybe i was getting psyched out, but my idle was slightly jumpy)
so i loosened it.

**my main question is if you have a BLITZ , do you know about how tight yours is , relative to full tightness or otherwise?
are all the screws identical in these units?

(also i read in one old thread that it was louder facing the bov to the passenger side. anyone have it oriented that way? and is it true? just curious)

thanks all

I ran the Blitz with a 3.0 pulley and never had issues with it. I cant remember just where it was set at, but I know it wasnt tightened all the way down. When your adjusting it, are you loosening the nut and then raising/lowering the threaded post? What pulley are you on?
Where is the boost gauge recieving vac from?

Thanks dude. I'll check my plumbing (it was installed by pro and I haven't really gotten around to examining the source of the boost pressure reading)
Its a 3.125 pulley and I adjust the screw by first loosening the nut.
Where's the most accurate source to tap line for the boost gauge? (Its a prosport gauge which I've had luck w before)

i think my boost vac line is tapped to a source that is plugged into a stock nipple protruding from i guess the lead into the intake plenum right after the TB

does that sound right to you?

i adjusted the BOV to vent generously during idle, but just before its too tight to not do so. i guess thats balanced.
so unless someone can verify that the vac source for the boost gauge is correctly tapped, maybe im reading a faulty boost reading?

That should be ok, just as long as there arent too many other things also on that source.

iirc from what I saw the other day, it is T'ed one more time (downstream to the gauge) to plumbback (?) line from the BOV.

thanks for the insight flava

Take it off, open it up and oil everything up. That worked for me.
