Supercharging a 5th gen

I have some questions on supercharging a 5th gen. Can i just use the 4th gen charge piping on a 2000 maxima. I've read something about the maf being on the charge side and it will not work but I'am confused because they both have the same engine bascally. Mainly do i have to buy a 5th gen charge pipe or can I get away with the 4th gen piping i already have. Thanks guys, trying to get my 5th gen boosted. I was planning on boosting my 1998 maxima but I sold that and bought a 2000 maxima.

You can get away with using the 4th gen piping.

A 4th gen setup has the maf on the boosted side, therefore air goes through a filter and into the sc then through the charge pipe through the maf and into the engine.

A 5th gen setup has the maf before the boost so air goes through a filter and into the maf then to the sc and into the engine.

What other parts do you have? What sc v1 or v2? What size pulley? Fuel pump? Spark plugs? Are you going to use a FMU?

secondtonone17 had 4th gen piping on his 5th gen. Search through some of his threads to get an idea of what you need to do. I think you are going need a few extra bends in addition to the piping because the throttle bodies are in a different location on the 4th and 5th gen.

I have v1 blower with a v2 plate. I don't have an fmu or any fuel pump because I'am only going to be running 7psi and I don't think i would need to upgrade my fuel management. Would i need to? I have ngk copper spark plugs but haven't gapped them yet. For now I want to run 7psi so i can learn everything at first then upgrade my fuel management and run a bigger pulley.

This is the kit I bought:

Get a FMU or larger injectors. Says 2 fuel pumps so that should be ok but you should get a FMU. Did you buy everything in that FS thread?

In the FS thread it says "2 Fuel Pumps" but you are right he still needs a FMU.

So I'm boosted now and running on all stock fuel pressure. I have a t-trex fuel pump that comes with the stillen kit but have not put that in. I have a 3.6 pulley and im hitting like about 6lbs. Would that fuel pump be enough and would I need a FMU? If yes which disk? And to clear things this is on a 2000 dek maxima. Thanks guys im just worried to boost it now because i dont want to run lean. The person who i bought the kit from said i should be okay with stock fuel management.
