WB02 doing weird sh*t

Hi guys.. im wondering what the go is here...

Recently installed my Innovate LC-1 with XD-16 gauge. I soldered all cables and double earthed the unit to the block and chassis. It worked well for quite some time, but recently it's been flashing up E2 quite a bit on startup. Sometimes it will run for a while quite well, then sometimes it will run for 2 mins then start the heating process (you know... counting to 100 etc)... then it'll just show --:-- on the screen.

I'm thinking the O2 sensor is borked - but I cant understand why so quickly. I've only had it in there for a couple of months. I tried recalibrating it without success.

I have mounted the bung just after the Y-section on a 3 o'clock angle so I doubt it being to close to the engine is an issue...

Plus does anyone know the part number for a new Bosch WB02?

Cheers guys

yea, sounds like your sensor. Try doing the senor check. It's on youtube search under " AEM Wideband Sensor check".

I had sooo many problem with my LC-1, all within the first couple of months of installing it.
It seemed to always need to be calibrated. I bought a new sensor, and it still had issues. I then sent it back to Innovative and they deemed it as faulty and replaced it. After reading on the Innovative forums from other users having the same issues I quickly sold it.

I've got an LC1 with the basic DB gauge (numbers only) and it's been working perfectly fine for the first 1k I've had it installed. Had some wiring issues at first (not using an isolated ground) where it would just randomly shut off, works fine now though. I think the innovate WB's are picky as far as voltages/grounds are concerned.

heh.. well now it goes from 0 to 20.9 (i think) to o2 and backwards and forth. I think its dead.

I soldered all my wires and double grounded it to the chassis and block. I have bought a new sensor, just waiting for it to arrive in the mail.

Sorry to hear you're having WB problems. I have nothing but great sucess with mine.

On your next O2, install a copper heat shield for added protection. Maybe that'll do the trick.

is the sensor installed so that it is in the 10 to 2 o clock position so any moisture in the pipe doesn't affect it?
