EM-U help

well got it wire up and 1st problem:
with the key one click forward, everything in the car works normal and EMU is off. Key two clicks forward emu cuts on steady green, interior lights dim, RADIO CUTS OFF!

second problem, program won't recognize the emu as online. processor is vista 32bit.

3rd problem is I CANNOT find a driver for the EMU, my laptop will not recognize it. I guess I need the emgu2usb driver but don't know where to find it.

can ANYONE help me? I am now carless

Not sure if the eu is the same but with my nitrous controller and a few other products I had to download new drivers then force the software to upload . If possible try a laptop with xp or a older os

I let a local member use my laptop to tune his eb and had to install the drivers a few times before they took and I am also using vista can't remember if it's 32 or 64bit thou, hope this helps

BTW, lets race right now then LOL

Emanage won't work on anything newer than XP because the drivers aren't compatable. download a virtual machine and run xp on your laptop and install it on there. Thats what i had to do to get Emanage to work on my laptop running windows 7

What is the EMU wired to? ECU power correct? How did you install your radio or is it stock?

2-3)
I have windows7 and the EMU works fine. It will NOT WORK WITH ANYTHING 64bit.

Download and install this one:
http://revspec.com/emanage/2.00_1.00_full.zip

The drivers should be in it.

Then go to greddy's site and update it to 2.20

Now connect the EMU to the laptop, it should recognize it. It will prob update the EU to 2.20 firmware as well.

Then follow dandy's guide to set everything up

EU is not setup to run on Vista. I do happen to have the latest version that is made to work with Vista from Greddy but I have not tried it yet. I was originally trying to use Vista. If you want it, email me and I will try to get it to you.

well i used an older laptop and actually got it to work, had to search for the folder with the driver and manually install it. The driver itself was in 2 different folders but only working from one folder. 400hp dyno graphs to come

400 HP? did you do the 3.5 swap? Isn't there a hand held device you can buy to connect to Emanage and tune your setting for your turbo?

havent heard of the handheld device tho. right now im just waiting on my new wbo2 sensor to come and 300zx MAF so i can set it to auto tune, then fine tune it.

with the N62 MAF, will i have to change anything in the paremeters or i can leave it as-is?

SO OP your in NY right? hmm maybe we can link up. im doing a similar setup and would love to get some input from someone who has gone through the loop already.

I'm working on a patch harness so i can take it out quick if i have probs.

I think the hand held device is the power fc commander or something along those lines that connects to another engine control unit. Not for EU. I might be wrong...
