V2 SQ supercharger question

I believe the SQ simply stands for super quiet, but that being said, will this blower work on a 4th gen maxima? (1995 to be exact)

Or should I specifically be looking for the original V2??

Or actually now, that model is superseded by the V2 SQ SCi-Trim. Point in short though, again, is this blower useable on a 1995 maxima? Or should I just try to locate the old V2 and use that...

A V2 is a V2 regardless of trim. You just need to make sure you get a CCW, straight discharge V1 or V2 for the plates available.

Personally I would get a V1 t-trim for the noise... my SQ is fairly audible, but I want people to know I have a supercharger than guessing that's what the sound is...

Now, who would be interested in pointing me in the proper direction to find all the parts I need? They don't make the old kits for Maxima's of my vintage anymore so I'm going to have to do this from scratch. I understand the basics (blow off valve, hoses, clamps, FMU, MAF sensor, etc) but need a little more detail and maybe a complete list of parts for this, preferably with links to where I can get them.

C'mon man, did you look at the top of this forum? You're going to catch hell from some people by not using the search feature at the top of the forums.

Matty sells plate kits with almost all of the hardware you need (minus piping and the stuff you posted and the supercharger). It's a little pricey, but great stuff. Your best bet is to look in the forced induction FS section for a used kit.

As a matter of fact I did but all the threads I found with parts or kits either have dead links or the kits are no longer for sale. My search on the internet turned up nothing as well so I figured I'd have to put the kit together myself.

From what I can tell with Matty though, he has no more of those kits left. Though I honestly didn't ask him myself.

Definitly contact Matty, he really is the only person who can get you all the items you need.

it would be a good idea to just send him a PM then...his name is Matty on here. Just a heads up about the V1 if you go that route, its way too loud and annoying after owning it for a year or so. I would get a V1 replica plate (from Matty) and then get a V2 blower. Trust me I've owned a V1 for about 5 years, it gets old after a while. Some people do prefer more whine from their blowers than others though so this is clearly just my opinion so take it for what it's worth

The plate from Matty is worth the money!! He will do a run of plate once he gets enough buyers.

you will need a start kit such as matty's v1, or a v2... besides that, you will need a t fitting for the block to allow for oil flow. you will need an oil feed and return. you will need proper piping, bypass/blow off vavle. you will need proper sized hoses and clamps for TB, MAF and blower itself. you will need some sort of fuel pump, an FMU and colder plugs. you will need hoses for coolant overflow relocation. you will need a filter or even a CAI setup. this is all besides the major components being the blower, pulley, plate, bolts and belt.......

search for "help me identify what is missing from my kit" in this forum

if u have neither the blower, nor the plate... i highly recommend matty's v1 plate on a V2 blower of any trim. avoid v1 by all means as its annoyingly loud. I have the upper elbow for the charge pipe for sale. its the original stillen and a very hard piece to find and rather hard to make since it has various sized nipples welded for vaccum lines.

Piecing it together would be fairly difficult and time consuming. Keep an eye open in the FI classifieds here, there seems to always be a kit for sale (usually 80%-90% complete) in the $1800-$2000 price range. Then get the missing pieces.

My V1 wasnt really that loud. I have heard others, and theirs were pretty loud but Im thinking those units were in need os a serious rebuild.
My new V2 blower is sounds pretty close to what my old V1 did.

Not too loud, but definitely noticeable. I loved the way it sounded.

Yup, just loud enough to be able to recognize what it was, but not loud enough to be annoying.
