There's where you're wrong. When going boost especially, there are way too many variables that come into play to allow you to run a cookie cutter tune and be fine. Sure, it might work for some people, but who's to say that their tune is either dangerously unsafe or so conservative that there's +/- 40whp left on the table to gain safely.

I'm not saying that you're problem is from tuning for fact, but there is no such thing as "avoiding tuning" when going boost. No matter how you look at it. Get that wideband ASAP.

My jwt ecu works fine but the a/f during boost was on the rich side low 10's so I installed a vafc2 and leaned it out around 11.0. By doing this my gas mileage got better and I gained a few ponies

im pretty sure the gap on my plugs is way to much. i cant remember exactly wat it is but i know its more then the recommended .036-.038. im going to regap and go from there. if it continues ill have to break down and buy a wideband and maybe even a vafc2

if your running stock gap then your most likely getting blow out

Quick question. On a boosted application, should the gap be increased or decreased from stock?

well i regapped at .032 today, and its better but still feels like im missing on one cylinder when in boost. im going to regap again tomorrow to .029 and see if that helps. also there was a tiny bit of oil on the washer of one of the spark plugs. could that also be a issue?

narrow band is just for looks my friend, wideband...take into consideration that if you gap too close, it will cause rough idling

In all honesty, I dont suggest you continue to step on the gas unless your on a dyno with AFR reading, or have a wideband installed. If I didnt have a wideband and gauge, i would never dare step on the gas, no matter who programmed the ECU.

Double check for boost leaks and make sure you post pics of under the hood, your pcv setup maybe an issue. With no wideband you are flying blind. Did you just get a regular tune from jwt or the 100 octane tune?

370cc, z32 maf, stock timing, extended rev limit, and 93 octane is the tune i got. im pretty sure i fixed all but possibly one boost leak. i found some extra piping in my back porch so when this s**t weather stops im going to change the piping around to eliminate that last leak. im also realized the other day while regapping that the gave me brk5's, so im going to buy 6's and gap to .029 and see how that works out. will report back after changes

fyi, unless you requested stock timing that tune only has 10degree's of timing

Good to hear you are on the right track! Get that wideband and invest in a safc or something to get you fine tune.
