Been a LONG time.. but Fuel prices force me to bring it back!

Well guys... It's been a long time since I've even checked into this site. The last place I think I left off was around 200,000mi mark on my stock engine Turbo 89 Maxima.
I drove it for the following 3years till I hit 245,000mi.
One night coming home from a UFC fight a buddy of mine mouthed off to a couple of guys in a STR8 Jeep... Saying that little black Maxima could hand you your A%%... So I spanked him 3 times...

Then he did one of those fly up on you at 100mph and I down shifted and the Max kind of bucked then took off.. which it never does.... I didn't think much of it... Drove home.. drove to the shop the next morning..
Noticed some blue smoke out the back when I let off the gas... Hum...
Drove the next week and the oil control problem seemed to get worse.
I could tell it had a slight miss.. but not bad.... I did a leak down test and the two rear cyl were leaking down too much. I knew I'd broken the ring lands.

The engine at 245,000 mi had minimal bore wear.. NO bearing wear! Amazing.
I replaced the pistons and rods with a extra set I had here.. new rings and Nissan Bearings. The car sat out front here for at least the last year and a half.
I've been driving my truck... Well with fuel at 4.00/gallon it's time to get the Maxima back out. I got the engine back installed and running.. I'm working on the rear quarter panel rust... replaced both front fenders.

The last time I drove it I was getting 25-7mpg in town and 31+ on the highway. The car's been 13.40@107mph on pump gas.

I hope this summer to convert over to Nistune with MaxMaxima's help. This old LiveEdit system is outdated.

I'll be checking in more often sorry I'd been away so long!
~Scott.
