Went to Moores Automotive in Fairfax, VA and got the Maxima tuned after the 3" downpipe and smaller PTE 5858 ball bearing turbo .64 A/R.

411WHP & 402FT-LBS @ 9PSI

The old 6266 spooled too late for my setup. Now the thing pulls at 3000rpm where the old one was just starting to spin. Its great on the highway cruising about 60mph in 6th gear and dont even have to downshift, I just step on the gas and the turbo starts to whistle and then its off. It feel like downshifting to 4th in an all motor maxima.....yes it pulls that hard. The only thing Im going to have to do is get new coilovers. The Teins are really not good at aggressive driving....things bounce too much and are all over the place when full spool hits. Otherwise they are REALLY comfortable...great for all motor people. Keep in mind I have harder springs for the Teins too....maybe D2s next...who knows.

I put a graph comparing my old 6266 dyno vs the new 5858 dyno:

Picked up lots of area under the curve like I wanted and the torque curve got flattened out a bit as well. You'll notice at 3000rpm I picked up 40ft-lbs and 24WHP ALONE!!! This FEEL GREAT!!!

The tires are AWESOME...they dont want to let go of the road. They are WAY WAY WAY better than the Federals. I can actually hold all of 3rd gear WOT without them slipping. I can hold most of 2nd gear too, not WOT, but being pretty aggressive on the accelerator. The tires are awesome......the downfall are the Teins...they just cant handle the power...they are meant for more luxury ride....not that type of performance.....car is all over the road...almost ran off the side of the road because the rear bounces up and sends the front wheels all over the place. Cant adjust the ride height and spring pre-load separately. The more you lower the ride the more it uncompresses the spring and the softer it gets. I even have the stiffer springs 9kg front and 8kg rear (7kg front/6kg rear comes with them) and they are still way way too soft with damping on full hard. Think Im going with BC coilovers they come with 9kg front and 7kg rear. I might bump the rear up to 9kg or even 10kg....that rear bouncing like that under full boost is really dangerous. So for now I will just stay out of boost until I get these BC coilovers and re-aligned.

should have went with BC's from the start brotha they much firmer if you set them hard with no bounce of any sort when adjusted properly

Teins on full hard....0 and still too bouncy. Even upgraded the springs from 7kg front to 9kg and 6kg rear to 8kg rear. Even set on full hard they are too bouncy. You cant adjust the ride height and preload independently. So when you go to lower the ride the spring decompresses and the ride get even more cushion like. I dont like that you cant adjust those independently. I went out last night in the garage and rasised the ride about 1/2" to compress the spring and try to get some preload back. Now I have this FAT *** nasty gap about 2" in the back and about the same in the front and the ride is like rocks now....but the damper system doesnt seem to like it that stiff...I turned it softer to 3 and even 5. I have come to the conclusion that the teins arent meant for aggressive driving. They are meant for people that want to be lowered and have a comfortable ride...they are not a performance coilover. Thats cool....getting ready to sell them with the EDFC and all the springs I bought. I ordered some TDMI Inverted coilovers and they are way fatter 57mm pistons in them with the radial bearing. They gonna be nice! they should be in about 3 weeks so then I will sell the Teins and EDFC.

oh yes if decide to go with the tdmi please gives us a review peolpe have brought them but no reviews yet on our cars i was thinking about selling my ksport for tdmi, but the only thing i heard is that thier supose to be more comfortable then teins cause of the 57mm shock so u might be in the same boat with those coilovers.(maybe)

Actually TDMI uses the same supplier as Fortune auto USED to use. From what TDMI is saying the supplier doesnt currently supply them anymore so the fortune auto will not have the same quality as they used to.

Also you'll notice that fortune auto uses these radial bearing mounts that cut 95% of the noice from the mounts. Also the pistons in the TDMI are larger. I ordered the inverted ones with the radial bearings. They should be here by mid May. I will give a full review and pics!!

Don't worry if they GARBAGE I will be the first one to let you know!

UPDATE:

Was getting misfires when I was on the dyno at Moore Automotive and was recommended I replace the PTE injectors...so I finally got around to it. Car was running like ***, lean and hicupping...stayed out of boost (as much as I could )

Replaced my GARGAGE 650cc Precision injectors with Fuel Injector Clinic 650cc injectors. The shop that installed my PTE injectors cut my stock conector off and wired in the PTE connector so I had to cut those off and solder in the connector for the FIC injectors...PITA!

FIC LEFT and PTE BURNT *** GARBAGE ON THE RIGHT

FIC INJ connectors

FIC connector vs PTE connector

Soldered everything up took about 1.5 hours, put fuel rail on, manifold back on started the car and it reved up real high then shut off....SES codes for low voltage on fuel pump circuit and MIL malcfunction lamp...so I thought I screwed up the wiring. I resoldered everything...took me about an hour(got better at it) put everything back on started car up SAME GARBAGE..shut off. So long story short the next day found out I forgot to put the little rubber spacers in the fuel rail so injectors were not sitting properly. Put spacers in and car started fine.

Car ran lean and I could tell I needed a retune. Called Moore Automotive in VA and scheduled a retune. So everything is tuned back up now...MADE THE EXACT SAME NUMBERS nothing special on the dyno just a touch up tune...did not mess with boost. Car runs BETTER than stock now...so silky smooth!!!! I love it!

While I was there Moore Automotive was so kind to install my Stainless Steel Clutch line from the master to slave cylinder. I was going to do it but figured since I was there let the pros do it since I read how horrible it was to install. Man....people who said installing SS clutch line dont know what the HELL they doing. I wastched Moore Automotive do the WHOLE thing in less than 45 mins. They had a machine they backbled the new Dot 4 fluid into the slave up to the master so there was no air in the line in less than 2 mins. No clutch pumping GARBAGE nothing. WHAT A BIG BIG difference!!! Everyone needs to do this....just get a speed bleeder pump and backbleed the fluid. The only thing they did not do, AND I REALLY DONT CARE, is get rid of the jungle gym. They just sucked all the fluid out and capped it off since it no longer serves anymore purpose. the reason they did not get rid of it was because they would have to remove the ABS module and possible the brake booster to get to all that crap under it...I did not want to pay another hour or 2 for labor so I said forget it...I;ll get to it myself oneday......Most likely will not because I dont care.

Gas mileage is good now...and this was with AC running and beating on it dyno tuning too...probably would have done near 400 miles on the highway.

Right now waiting on these TDMI Coilovers that should be here by Friday and going to install those. Already have my alignment scheduled for TUESDAY. Then going to Englishtown dragway to track the car the next day for their test n tune night, FINALLY!!! Will have plenty of vids!! Gonna be fun!

TDMi Coilovers

Hey Ranmas,
I have a 2002 Max 6spd and I am looking for coilovers. I have been looking at BC Racing, Tein, Ksport and d2. I was wondering how the TDMI were and if they were available and some pricing maybe. I'd really appreciate any help with this. I have seen a couple of your videos on youtube and it looks to handle pretty nicely.
Thanks,
Dave

I see on your youtube channel that you have race seats installed. Any chance of a link on which seats they are and where you got them?
I have been looking on ebay for black leather type race seats to match my black leather interior.
What about interior shots with the seats installed?
