Building up a VQ30DET-K
I did some searching and found bits and pieces about this. I was planning on attempting this a couple of years ago but I ran out of money. I sourced the Rods, Pistons, and Crank from a JDM VQ30DET but I wanted to know if anybody had actually done this?
I think it would be pretty awesome to take a VQ30DE-K and build it up with forged internals from a VQ30DET, and throw some boost at it.
Next summer, the maxima will transition from my DD to my fun car, and I want to attempt this.
Has anybody done it? Is it worth it? And thanks for the input!

The rods on the vq30de/dek are forged so those are the same and the compression is 9:1 on det and stock is 10:1 so not a big deal as boosting either one just save yourself money and boost the stock motor because you can blow up either one and you'll get a little better response and power with the 10:1 cr on lower boost so...that's just my .02
