Tuning/MAF/Boost question
So I just boosted my 96 maxima and got it street tuned. And this is where my problems kinda started. So the first time we tuned it I wasn't making boost, come to find out my MAF cover was cracked, so I got a new one installed it, did a boost leak check and the new MAF lid started to lift. Has anyone else had this problem with their MAF? So my next problem is that I'm not making even close to what I think I should for boost. I have a 10 psi pulley, I know my guage wont read a true 10 psi, but all I'm reading is 5psi where is the other 4 psi going? And my last question is how much does the AF suppose to search? my AF while I'm crusing will go between 14 and 16.5?
My setup is a a V2 10 psi, 3" cold air intake, 2.5" IC piping w/ a mishimoto front mount (28" x 7.5" x 2.5), 00iv and 600 DW injectors. The tuning software is NisTune.
And on a side note would a bad engine coolent temp sensor make the car hard to start??
thanks
Chris

My MAF cover sprung a leak on the dyno. I used some epoxy and its been good ever since.
You either have a boost leak somewhere, may need to tighten the belt, or possibly the BOV needs adjustment,

Yes that is base pressure with stock injectors, but when you go larger you need the fuel correction, improper adjustment leads to hard starts, etc. Emanage correction factors for example, lower duty cycle so larger than stock injectors can function properly. I'm not familiar with nistune software at all but you should be able to take away fuel.

if tuned for it stock fuel psi and 600cc injectors can be ran n/a so that's fine, like I said if your tuned for those injectors
but like stated maybe the bov needs to be adjusted so even if you buy a hundred new bov's if they are not adjusted your problem will not be resolved. also like stated check for belt slippage

I am running stock fuel pressure and stock fpr with 370cc injectors. I'm on emanage blue so it has a correction factor for the injectors. You would have to find out if nistune has a correction factor, or you would have to map out and take away fuel cell by cell yourself. Or you could slightly lower the fuel pressure. There are some threads on people running 550cc injectors from years ago, one of the numbers I saw was 22 psi.
