well i got the speed force turbo kit the only thing left of it is the intercooler and piping. im tunning with split second box and i built my engine with 8.5.1 wesico pistons eagle rods and arp goodies. i dont know if possibly the intercooler is to much of a restiction for the gt35 .70ar cold .83 hot turbo. also i have some denso 750cc injectors.

If it starts to stumble after 4k, your coilpacks could be tired.

What exactly does the split second box do? Is it like a VAFCII? Or more advanced like an Emanage Blue or Ultimate? I suspect that could be the culprit as well.

bascily just retards timing and allows for me to control injectors. and its not so much that it stumbles if just starts pulling hard then fades off. and i have been having to take fuel away on the top end witch i would think it would be the other way around.

Are you monitoring your air fuel ratio? What's going on there after 4k?

That goes along with what I said about your coilpacks going on you...

When I first boosted my first Max ages ago, it fell on it's face too when I put the pedal to the metal. No codes for me. In my case, it was my coilpacks, they were tired.

.025 seems alittle extreme depending on the amount of boost you plan to run and my guess if your running their kit it's not much with that 2.5inch downpipe.

I would suggest .028-.030 although it will not fix your issue but you'll gain some hp and mpg but getting back to your issue I would look at the coils or maybe it's too rich. Depending on which wbo2 your running 10.0 is the lowest is will read so who knows how rich it is

i have gotten it to 12.2 at 10 pounds and it would still fall on its face and i still have the 2.5 down pipe i did try a 3inch hood exit pipe but it still did the same thing and im runnig an aem wideband. im planing on making around 520 wheel hp but im also changing intercooler and down pipe to be more eficient. but i have to get this figrued out first

at 520hp I would ditch the 2.5inch dp and split second box, swap the coils and report back

ok so i got them in today and installed and took it for a quick test run and it revs much faster like it used too and feels alot beter with cutout closed so i just have to wait for it to cool off to open cutout and go try it again.

ok it helped a little bit down low rpm ut it still wont really pull on the top end and once you hit 10pounds it just wont do much at all it actualy feels slower. could my intercooler piping be too small its 2in on pre intercooler then goes to 2.5 then to 3

What pound spring do you have in the wastegate? What brand wastegate and size? How much is the timing retard in degrees? Possible exhaust leaks reducing proper flow to the turbo?

Too much timing retard and it will rev high but feel like it is going nowhere.

Well I was supposed to be a 8pound spring but I think it is actually a 4 or 5 but I got it to quit spiking. And what should the timing be around I think it could be the issue maybe I don't have any way to log my timing due to crappy ssbox. I'm starting to think Mabey the knock sensor is retarding it but wouldn't that throw a code

If you don't know how many degrees it is pulling that may be part of the problem. On a built motor you really probably don't need to pull any timing until the boost is in the double digits (10lbs +). Also, since you are lower compression, the turbo at that boost level isn't really doing much. The spring is too small. I would go with a 12 to 16lb spring. Wastegates crack at about half of their spring pressure, so at 2.5lbs the exhaust is already bleeding off. Lower compression allows you to run more boost to make power, but you can make good power at higher compression with low boost, it is a trade off.

Make sure your ks is working and is not throwing a ghost code. There will be no cel for the ks but it would flash the code if you do the ecu diagnostic. If your ks is bad, you have already lost close to 10 degrees of advance, and with the lower compression and low boost, the car would be sluggish. You need something that can log boost, timing or egt. You can check your timing with a friend while driving if you have any of the cheap obd2 scantools. How many degrees are you pulling with the splitbox, and at what rpms?

do you have the return fuel line setup, rather than the stock returnless?

No it's still retunless till I start running out of fuel. But I don't think that would be related since its running richer when I run more boost and that's with me giving it less fuel the higher boost I go. I would think I would have to add fuel when adding boost but it goes way to ritch. That's why I was wondering if that 2inch charge pipe going from turbo to intercooler Is causing me to basically run out of air?

I could be wrong, but I don't see how the 2" charge pipe is the issue. I think I'd look into the wastegate spring first.

I can controll when the waste gate opens with the eboost street. I can make it open at 8pounds but it just spikes to 12 then will drop back to 8 where I want it but I'm not real sure what that would have to do with my issue

had the same issue with mine I wasn't getting consistent fuel pressure and it would fall on its face...return fuel line all better also ditched the split second because it's a pos. haltech for the win, eliminating the maf and going with map for the win.

You could do that to be safe, 1 degree per pound is very conservative and at sometimes overkill. If you have someway to monitor knock that would be ideal because every car is different, but if you do a search on timing in this section (boosted/s/c) you will find more info.

If the boost is there, and the AFR's are clean, it has to be timing related.

You should double the psi rating of a spring with a mbc or ebc. It will not boost right, I just getting a 8
10psi spring since that will be your low and this will allow you to run 18-20psi.

Also I would the gap on your plugs, boost leaks and MOST important your bov to make sure it's not opening while it boost
