What should the gap be and I pulled my waste gate spring out and it's a 7pound spring so I moved the vacume hose to the intake manifold instead of the turbo and now it is way more consistent gunna try messin with the tune this weekend to see if it helps any.

And my base boost level went from 4 to 6 psi

I thought 2.25"-2.5" was ideal and should be used throughout the intercooling plumbing....Your intake can be 3"-4.5", but the changing of your piping size could be affecting the pressure entering the engine. You need to weld in or plumb in some tubing with pressure bungs made in so you can monitor actual pressure entering and leaving your intercooler! Then you can definitley know want you pressure drop is! Also sounds like an air leak in your engine or air system...Check your turbo bearigs for wear as well.

I tune a descent amount of LSx boosted cars. If the AFR's are clean, and the boost is there, then it's a timing issue. Does the car seem to run hot? Do you have water injection? How are you pulling timing? Is it rpm based, MAP based, just a guess at something someone told you? Who is tuning it, and how? Street tune? Dyno? If you are looking for 15 plus lbs, and you haven't got a water kit on it, then your tuner is really lacking in the experience department.

I would put the stock timing back into the car, lower the boost, and make some pulls. Get on ebay and order a coolingmist water kit for 200 bucks. HOOK IT UP. Set the hobbs switch for around 4psi, and spray Zero degree windshield washer fluid before the throttle body, after the Mass Air, and put the AIT sensor between the nozzle and the throttle body, make sure that the AIT sensor sees the water. That will keep the engine in "good" part of the ignition map. Now, hopefully you have a boost controller, and you can click a lb or two at a time, and make smart decisions based on the findings. I would imagine that with 1 M10 meth nozzle you can run a descent amount of boost on that thing before any timing pull is needed.

Get some answers on the tuning process, and we can probably help you a lot better. Good Luck.
