Emanage Ultimate question....Red flashing

Okay my car has been sitting because I have it listed for sale
I took it for a ride today and noticed that the left light on the EMU is flashing red. I did some research and many Greddy guys say the firmware needs to be reflashed. Anyone do this ? I plugged it into my laptop and it's showing a bunch of errors. Anyway to competely reset the Emanage and start fresh ?

Thanks
Matt

Do you have screenshots of the errors it's giving you?

I would connect the laptop, click Communication, and click on Main Unit Update. It'll reboot the EMU and reflash the firmware to it.

I don't see anything wrong with the firmware/software, looks like the versions both match.

Check your harness for wiring issues on the ignition wiring, for cylinders 1 and 2.

All the cylinder ing wires are tight soldered.

I guess my next recourse is taking the unit out and sending it out to Greddy
I did read in anther forum that on some early model Ultimates, the case rubbed against the board and caused Ing chips to get dislodged

What hardware version do you have? I believe anything older than E (A,B,C,D) had the loose ignition chip issue.

The markings you would look for are on the board itself, inside the case.

Looks like mine is a C.
Would the loose ignition chip issue make the car run funky ? Can barely get the car to idle. Idles and just dies

Hmmm...not sure. Usually the ignition chip issue prevents the car from even starting. I'd call Greddy to be sure.

Question: Jumper 8/Ignition output I have set for 5V. Does it need to be 12V ? According to Greddy it needs to be set to 2-3 which is 12V for the ignition output

Follow Dandy's writeup on the jumpers. It's supposed to be set to 1-2 for 5V.
