225/45 R17......Is is safe????

I just bought these tires and I wanted to know if they would be safe to run on my car, they are a load rating below the stock potenzas. 1323 lbs vs. like 1457 on the potenzas, so Will I be ok running these tires... Please advise.

Just got back from a 1200 round trip drive on 225-45-17's. Its not my car but the SR20DEN's. We made it in one peice and even survived NYC roads. Your speedo will read quite a bit faster with those tires though.

What tire is he running Matt? Bulldawg is asking more about the load rating than size.

Most all 225/45 R17 have the same load rating.

That's per tire. So unless you have enough weight in the car to make it weigh 5292lbs you will be fine.
