Need Opinion On Kumho Tires?

Does anyone have an opinion or review of Kumho tires they have used on a Max? I have read great reviews of their 225/50-17 KH11 W rated tire that fits the 2001 Max 17" wheels. They cost half of the Michelin Pilot sport A/S, but the reviews on Tirerack.com are as good or better that the Mich.

I usually buy the best tire I can afford as it is the best piece of safety equipment you can buy, but I just can't afford the Pilot Sport A/S and the reviews on the Mich. Pilot MXM4 are terrible. (plus, they're only $12 cheaper than the Sport A/S)

Any Kumho users out there? What can you tell me?
I don't want to buy "cheap" tires, but inexpensive ones I don't have a problem with.

Re: Need Opinion On Kumho Tires?

I put these tires on my 2k SE in April, and I agree with the reviews. They are much superior to the OE Potenzas. I obviously can't attest to their treadlife yet, but so far so good.

I have gone through two sets of Supra 712's. Dry grip is very good, grip in the wet (anti hydroplaning) is pretty bad. The treadlife on them isn't all that great. However for the price, they are very hard to beat. Just remember that they will be much louder than the Pilots.

i am going with kumho cause it seems like the best bang for your buck. That is what i look for. I have heard that new mastercraft performance tires is very very good for the money as well. I am just alittle weird about mastercraft with a performace tire??

Kuhmo 712s are the worst tires I have ever owned.
