Lookin for opinions..225/45 or 55?

Alrite, I want to get the ContiExtreme tires but they dont make them in 225/50 as most of u prbs know by now & I don't really want to go w/235's because I drive the car pretty hard on curvy roads, off-ramps etc. So, anyway, simple question -- which would you get 225/45 or 225/55 (I'm lowered on Teins btw.)? I have no idea how a 45 or 55 looks in comparison to stock so I thought I'd get some opinions here on how it'd look and ride.
TIA

a 55 series tire would be too tall. stick with either a 40 or a 45 series tire.

How's that relevant? In a couple of threads there are warnings that hard cornering etc. may cause something to go wrong when running 235's on the stock rims. Basically, I just want to take the safe route b/c tire pressure isn't something I moniter religiously & I'd hate for something to go wrong just b/c I put on 235's and didn't keep check on tire pressure.

Will the ride on 45 series tires be harsher?
