Is 225x55/16 too big for a 16x6.5" wheel?

I have a 16x6.5" wheel and I need tires, is 225x55/16 too big, will it stick outside the wheel wells?

isn't it 225/50r16 since stock is 215/55r16?
The middle is like a percentage calc of the 1st set of numbers.

I have the OEM 16" 5 spoke rims with 225 50 16 potenza RE 950
tires with no problems at all. They are barely wider than stock tires.
